About the Founder

Abraham Aasan was born in Karungal, Kanniyakumari district in Tamilnadu. Born in Kanyakumari, Varma medicine and Varma kalai is taught as a basic knowledge those days. Kanyakumari is the border of Kerala now, before 1956, it was a part Kerala so Varma medicine was practiced in many parts of Kerala and Kanyakumari. Most of the occupation those days was climbing Palm trees. Sometimes people may fall from the trees and may have Varma injury. So Varma is a basic knowledge which most of the people there knew it. Aasan's grandfather and father were great Varmani's, just by seeing the patients walking style from a distance they were able to identify what were the issues the person has and what for they are coming. They had wide knowledge regarding Varma and various medicines. After the invasion of modern medicine Varma medicine lost its importance and people who practiced indian forms of medicine suffered poverty. So spending time to learn Varma medicine or any sort of indian medicine was not encouraged since it doesn't help as a proper earning. Certain people due to faith in tradition used to learn Varma medicine but won't practice it and for income will do other occupation and as years passby it has disappeared.

Aasan learned Varma in Guru Shishya type of education. He has trained under ten Gurus which gave him years of practice and experience in the field of varma. Even Abraham Aasan was not encouraged to learn Varma by his parents. First learning Varma is not easy those days. They needed years of training. Secondly after all those years of training they wont make a proper income out of it. So his mother was against him in learning Varma because Varma practitioner those days suffered poverty, they didn't even get a proper meal out of their practice. But Aasan was very stubborn and wanted to learn Varma. So his mother made him promise that he should not use Varma as a income source because if money is your only aim then your mind will be on money and you may not treat the patient properly. So have a proper source through any other occupation and then you can practice Varma.

So he joined a private company and made a good income and kept his mothers promise. Aasan started his practice in 1980. Initially he used to treat kids with Polio alone during his free time or weekly off. People who saw a lot of difference in such polio patients approached him with a belief that when a birth defect is treated why not a back pain can treated. That is how from polio patients to Ortho and Neuro patients started approaching him. Aasan has treated many patients who have been advised surgery for disc compression and disc bulge. Aasan will only start treating the patient if he feels it can get cured by him. There are some patients just in the first consultation itself he knows he can't do anything regarding such issues. He wont treat such patients and explains clearly that particular issue is not relevent to his treatment procedure.

He has given his abundant knowledge to his Son Dr.A.Mano Peary B.A.M.S and Daughter Dr.A.Mona Blessy B.A.M.S, MSc Psychology, Dip Hospital Management in the field of Varma. Along with their father they are practicing Varma medicine whole heartedly. He has also taught Varma to his Son in Law Santhosh alias Marshall BSS (Ayurveda and Panchakarma), DNYS and Daughter in Law Anila Peary B.S.M.S. We as a family are dedicated to Varma medicine and serving for the good health of humans.
